mitchell.walz@industrialfieldsolutions.comMy Name is Mitchell Walz and welcome to Industrial Field Solutions! Below is a bit about myself and my Technical background. If you would like to discuss a visit onsite for any of my listed Services don't hesitate to reach out to me!
I began my career in plastics as a Maintenance Technician in Madison, Wisconsin after four years in the US Army out of Fort Bragg North Carolina. I spent my Time as an Airborne Infantryman and participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation new Dawn in 2011. During my Factory stint I began with Hanging Molds, quickly becoming a Process Engineer and eventually working on the Machines. My good spirited attitude and willingness to go outside my comfort zone earned me a position as a Lead Engineering Technician 'where I worked with one of the local Contractors for that OEM. Quickly earning his trust working with him, one day I asked what it would take to work as a Field Service Engineer, the rest is history. I spent Several years as a Field Service Engineer with an American OEM, I cut my teeth on many older machines and learned the intimate nature of vintage controls, large scale Mechanical Rebuilds, Retrofits and Installations. After several years I moved onto a European OEM where I spent six years doing everything from large-scale Automotive jobs to special "One-Off" Medical cells with multiple Articulated Robot lines. Traveling all over the Midwest and rarely needing assistance, I earned a reputation as a Service Engineer who can get the job done on any Machine, old or new. I was hand picked by my former Employer to transfer to Florida where a Service listing had sat vacant for over three years. Once in Florida I was responsible for over 20 accounts in the area and spent three years roaming the State of Florida servicing old and new machines. With over a decade of experience I am now on my own and Servicing customers nationwide as a result of my technical prowess and professionalism. I will never know everything nor claim to know everything but there haven't been many problems I couldn't solve. I love my craft and want to share my love for this industry with the next generation and continue the lineage of the "Old School" mentality.
Thank you for trusting IFS with your Injection Molding Machines and Robots!
